Magnúsarfoss on Bærjargil
Some 9 meters tall waterfall that can be seen while walking towards Svartifoss. This is the second waterfall in the sequence of four waterfalls.
Hangandifoss
This 123 m tall waterfall has formed on Hangandifosslækur stream. Here the stream falls in Múlagljúfur canyon, joining the Fosslækur stream. Falls have one drop that touches upon the cliffs several times.
Strútsfoss
Very impressive, approximately 120 m tall waterfall with two main drops.
Rjúkandi
93 m tall waterfall with two main drops. One of the few large waterfalls in this part of the country.
Svartifoss
Unique waterfall – free falling, more than 20 m tall plunge in a valley adorned with basalt columns.
Skógafoss
One of the most impressive waterfalls in Iceland, 25 m wide and 60 m tall single plunge fall. In sunny weather here is seen a rainbow.
Seljalandsfoss
Impressive, 60 – 66 m tall fall with a single plunge. One can enter in a grotto behind the waterfall.
Hraunfossar
A very unusual, 900 meters wide waterfall, emerging from under a lava field and falling directly into the Hvítá river.
Litlanesfoss
Gorgeous, approximately 30 m tall waterfall that falls among fantastic formations of columnar basalt. Some 1.5 km further upstrem is the enormous Hengifoss.
Hengifoss
Beautiful, 128 m tall waterfall, the tallest in the eastern part of the country. A little further below is another beautiful waterfall – Litlanesfoss – flowing between columnar basalt.
